So - as I expressed, I feel that the context for your discussion of the appeal of Rocky Horror lies in its representation of non-typical sexuality and popularity with LGBT audiences. More broadly, I think there is a discussion here about the relationship between genres dealing with 'otherness' - so monsters/aliens and the ways in which Queer audiences identify and respond to them. In addition - and I didn't mention this at the time, I suspect that any discussion of Rocky Horror's appeal must also align with a discussion of Camp:
